Marriage...(not mine)

My wonderful son Adam got married last weekend, yet another 'proudest' moment to add to the others i cherish...
As soon as i saw my son in the church before the ceremony i burst into tears, to see him so, so smart in his morning suit....then to see his beautiful bride Sharon and my grandson Ollie as their page boy...the cutest sight ever...
It was a fantastic day, next is, my daughter is due to have her second child in 2 weeks, then hopefully this year she will get married...lucky me to have the best family....
Times are very hard, for many of us, and will be for some time yet i believe, but the best moments are 'free'....

Ralphs Christening

A boring blog it may well be...well according to 'pigflu'...lol...only joking....but just wanted to share a picture of Ralph at his christening, sunday just gone.....it was just the best day...the sun shone all day....and i couldn't have been prouder of my wonderful grandson....he even giggled as the vicar poured the water over his head....awww....bless him...
I am off to Majorca....bit of work to do...so looking forward to that next week...mind, i was told today it is snowing....what's that all about...!!!!!!

Times gone by, all too fast
Times of reflection, back to the past
My Dad died suddenly, my world blew apart
I felt so much guilt, where should i start
Not seeing him enough is my biggest regret
But memories of Dad i'll never forget
These last 2 months full of sadness and joy
My new grandson Ralph a bonnie wee boy
Estranged brothers and sisters together we came
Our lives for sure will never be the same
Some of us have bonded, some of us not
I'm happy and thankful for all that i've got
Now for me i wish to stand out in the crowd
Purely for me to make my Dad proud
A new venture, a new shop, this is for me
I want to do well, for all that know me.
It feels good to write a blog again. I even had the courage to stand up in front of many people at my Dads funeral and read a poem i wrote especially for him, which before i started blogging, i would never have done, so i am very grateful to all here that made me feel so welcome.
The picture is of Mum and Dad, with their first 4 children, 2 more followed. I love this photograph, i think my Mum looks so glamorous, and me, i am on the right, i look very moody for some reason...

Finally.......

At 7.36pm July 14th 2009 my daughter safely delivered a beautiful grandson for me.....
His name is Ralph Frederick, and he weighed in at 9lbs 14ozs !!!
I am just so proud of my daughter....she was induced as she was 2 weeks overdue and had Ralph in under 5 hours, with just gas and air....wow...!!!!!
She will be home tomorrow lunchtime so i can see him for the first time....i am so deliriously happy, it is a truly incredible feeling becoming a 'nana'....
Life is great....things are not totally sorted for me, but they are looking up and i have a very special man in my life now who keeps me positive and makes me very happy...so what more could i ask for....
I did say this would be my final blog on the birth of my grandson...and it is....i have loved my time here at FF, and made some really wonderful friends, whom i will email pictures of Ralph to, as my daughter doesn't want his picture posted here which i will respect.
Thanks to everyone for being so kind to me....

Ex, by the way, refers to my ex husband....i feel i have to write this as there is no way now we can communicate, and he joined FF to see what i was up to because in his own written words....he is...
BESOTTED and OBSESSED with me....
So....PLEASE... leave it alone...you know what you are doing....and do not spoil the forthcoming birth of my and your daughters baby....!!!!!!!!!
MOVE on with your life....
I will blog only once more after this, and that is to post the fantastic news of my grandsons arrival...now i feel i have to move on from FF to pastures new....i will read posts and comment though...

It's with these 2 beauties in the picture......not a 'man'...
They are my son Adams and his girlfriend Sharons new additions to the family.....the whippet is my sons...called 'Shadow....and a bull mastiff, who is his girlfriends, called 'Logan'.....
I spent the evening with them yesterday....and they brightened up my day after an awful week.....i just adore puppies...so cute...and can't wait for  to meet them......
I have uploaded a video on youtube of them....the guys in it are my son and ex husband....and the person squawking a lot is me......my handle there is rachieannelol...think you should find the video there ok...???.....i am not good at technology...!!!!
Right, must go and try and sort my life out.....
